About The Linie

The Linie is a Berlin-based object studio with a form-led approach to antique and vintage objects.

The selection begins with sculptural presence: silhouette, proportion and material character, as well as the way an object can shape a contemporary space. Moving across periods and cultures, the collection includes Japanese objects, modernist design, Brutalist forms and pieces that are less easily defined. A consistent curatorial eye brings these differences together into a calm and considered whole.

About The Founder

The Linie was founded and is curated by Gigi Hung, a multidisciplinary designer and art director with a background in interior and graphic design. Her experience across luxury fashion, lifestyle and corporate projects informs her approach to objects, images and spaces.

Her interest in objects began early, through conversations with her grandmother about old things and their histories. That curiosity developed into a lasting interest in how objects are made, used and passed on.
