The Linie works with antique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind objects. Each item is individually selected, described, and photographed to show its condition as clearly as possible.
If you are purchasing from within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, please inform us of your decision by contacting hello@thelinie.com before returning the item. You may use the EU withdrawal form template, but this is not obligatory.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods.
Returned items must be sent back in the same condition as received, unused, and carefully repacked for safe transport.
Please include your order number or other proof of purchase when requesting a return.
Many of our items are antique, vintage, or one-of-a-kind objects. Signs of age and use are expected and may include surface wear, patina, minor marks, small historic repairs, dents, or irregularities in shape or finish. These characteristics are considered part of the object’s history and material nature and do not constitute defects, provided they do not affect the object’s overall appearance, stability, or function.
Returns cannot be accepted for normal signs of age, material variation, or minor wear consistent with the item’s age and use, when these do not affect function or structural integrity.
We aim to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible. Product descriptions and images form the primary reference for an item’s condition.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.
Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs of the item and packaging, so we can assess and resolve the issue.
We will notify you once we have received and inspected the returned item.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received and inspected the returned goods, or until you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
If the returned item does not meet the return conditions outlined above, we reserve the right to refuse the refund or make an appropriate deduction for diminished value, in accordance with applicable law.
As most items are one-of-a-kind vintage or antique pieces, exchanges cannot be guaranteed.
If you wish to exchange an item, please return it following the process above and place a new order separately.
