Art Deco EPNS silver pedestal tazza bowl, England, 1930s. Constructed in electro-plated nickel silver with a stepped circular foot and three dark spherical supports. The restrained geometry reflects early 20th-century British Art Deco tableware design.
Context

Electro-plated nickel silver (EPNS), commercialised in mid-19th-century England, enabled silver-finished domestic wares to be produced more affordably while retaining durability. By the 1930s it was widely used in British tableware manufacturing, particularly for geometric and streamlined Art Deco forms.

Condition Notes

The form remains structurally sound, with the dark pedestal spheres remain stable and intact.. The silver-plated surface shows age-consistent wear and signs of prior polishing, including linear abrasions and areas of thinning, primarily to the underside of the base. A slight bend is present to one side of the rim.

Vintage and antique objects may show signs of age and use. Each piece is carefully cleaned before listing. Patina and original surfaces are preserved where appropriate, and minor restoration may be carried out when necessary.
