An uncommon Michael Harjes bronze wall candleholder for Harjes Metallkunst, Germany, dating to c. 1960s. Three sweeping arms extend from a compact wall plate, with ball finials above.

Its broad, projecting form gives the piece pronounced wall presence. The warm, irregular cast surface retains an aged bronze patina, with light wear consistent with use.
Context

Harjes Metallkunst is a German family metal workshop founded in 1912. Michael Harjes took over in the 1950s and developed a distinctive body of sculptural cast-bronze household objects, characterised by organic geometry and textured surfaces.
