Product Information

A Japanese cast-bronze vase bearing the Nakajima Yasumi (中島保美) name, from the Shōwa period, probably c. 1960s–80s. The Nakajima family was an established Osaka metalworking lineage; works by its second generation are held by the Musée Cernuschi in Paris. The bamboo-inspired profile narrows at a sharply defined central node before opening into a flared mouth, with a fuller lower body and an even, deep brown finish.

The vase retains its original inscribed wooden storage box and yellow protective cloth.
