A Nordisk Malm figural bronze dish in dark patinated bronze, made in Denmark and most likely dating to the 1930s–1940s. The central relief is attributed to Danish designer Niels Dam Ravn.

The combination of a clear silhouette, compact scale, and controlled figural detail gives the piece a distinctly sculptural character, in keeping with the more restrained language of Danish Art Deco. Its dark patinated surface adds depth and emphasises the relief.

It can be used as a decorative dish or catchall, with the applied motif giving the object a sculptural focus.
Context

Nordisk Malm produced decorative metal objects in Denmark across the Art Deco and later mid-century period, including bowls, dishes, and other small sculptural wares. Pieces like this reflect a restrained Scandinavian approach to Art Deco, favouring sculptural form and controlled decorative detail over the heavier ornament often associated with the style elsewhere.
