New arrivals and updates
Occasional updates when new objects are added.
A pair of Japanese patinated metal bud vases from Japan, dating to the Shōwa period, finished in a deep brown copper-alloy tone.
The engraved iris and blade-like leaves bring in the expressive detail, while the low body and rising neck give the pair a clear sculptural profile. The narrow opening suits a small number of stems, in line with ikebana (生け花), the Japanese art of flower arrangement, where line, balance, and the space around the material all play a visible role.
The matched pair format gives the set a stronger presence when displayed together. They suit dried grasses, branch cuttings, or sparse floral display, and also work well as standalone decorative objects.
