A Savo Tinn pewter lidded box, made in Norway and most likely dating to the mid-20th century. Marked to the underside, it has a compact cylindrical body, a fitted lid, and a small male figure on top.

The shape is clean and controlled, with straight sides, a gently stepped lid, and three ribbed feet. The figure adds a decorative touch, while the soft sheen of pewter keeps the overall look quiet and understated. 

This piece reflects a mid-century Scandinavian approach to decorative metalwork in which simple form carries most of the visual weight. It works well as a small decorative box for storing small objects.
Context

Savo Tinn was part of the wider tradition of post-war Scandinavian pewter production in Norway. Makers in this period often worked with simple, functional forms in pewter, using the material for its soft grey tone, gentle lustre, and ability to hold cast detail without looking overly polished.
