Art Deco EPNS & Glass Tazza Bowl, c. 1930s

Art Deco EPNS & Glass Tazza Bowl, c. 1930s

€145,00 EUR
Product Information

Art Deco tazza bowl combining a removable clear glass bowl with an EPNS silver-plated support. Three slender arms rise from the base to hold the shallow bowl, creating the impression that the glass is floating above the metal frame.

The contrast between transparent glass and the narrow silver-toned structure gives the piece a particularly light, open profile.

EPNS stands for electroplated nickel silver: a nickel-silver base alloy finished with a thin layer of silver and widely used for tableware in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Condition Notes

Good vintage condition. The glass bowl has age-appropriate scratches and rubbing but no cracks or structural damage. The EPNS support shows minor patina, plating loss and oxidation consistent with age.

Vintage and antique objects may show signs of age and use. Each piece is carefully cleaned before listing. Patina and original surfaces are preserved where appropriate, and minor restoration may be carried out when necessary.

For general information about vintage condition, see the FAQ. If you would like additional photographs or a detailed condition report, please contact us before purchase.
Care Guide

Lift the glass bowl out before cleaning. Hand-wash the glass separately and dry fully. Wipe the EPNS support with a soft cloth; avoid abrasive or repeated polishing, which can further thin the silver plate.
