Product Information

A sculptural single-light candleholder attributed to Kurt Jesch, built around a continuous S-curve and large oval opening. The predominantly silver-toned surface shows age-related rubbing around the base and candle cup, exposing warmer gold/brass-toned metal beneath, with darker patina settling into the edges and recesses.
Context

Kurt Jesch was an Austrian metal designer and artisan associated with sculptural candleholders of the 1960s–70s. His designs are documented in production by Amadeo Metallguss and are also encountered in the Amadeus / Fratelli Tonini range, often using heavy cast metal, curved biomorphic silhouettes and pronounced open space.
